Thank you Greg and Doug for being such outstanding hosts.This was a return visit having enjoyed our first stay at the Inn's beach property a couple of years ago. This time we decided to try the main Inn in town and once again our elevated expectations were exceeded! The staff and owners display a genuine desire to ensure their gusts a most pleasant experience from the moment you step foot on the property. The Inn is fully updated and along with the grounds meticulously maintained. The morning hours provide fresh baked breads (gotta try the banana bread!), boiled eggs, bagels, fruit, cereals etc. and a special "hot offering" that's a little different each morning. We found both locations to be warm and relaxing. The Winstead Inn is the reason we will visit Cape Cod again.
We could not have asked for a better stay at the Beach Resort. I loved having breakfast outside every morning listening to the ocean waves and listing to the sounds of the animals. The private beach was a wonderful piece of bliss during the busy time we were there for a wedding for a local family in Harwich. The staff was wonderful and our room looking out onto the beach was tranquil. We will def be back!
After staying at various bed and breakfasts on the Cape we stumbled upon the Winstead Inn/Resort. We've returned to the Winstead for the past several years and it's become our home away from home. Doug and Greg are personable, warm, professional owners. The service is impeccable. The location you can't beat being able to hop on the bike path from the inn or the convenience of lounging for hours on the beach at the resort. Take the time to read what their two locations have to offer. We will never go anywhere else.
We have stayed at this Beach House twice in the last 3 years for over a week each time and have love it. The staff is incredible and friendly but not in your face. The rooms or very nicely decorated and the porch, decks and beach a dream. Since we have had lengthy stays our only suggestion would be to vary the continental breakfast a little more. I loved their banana bread but 9 days in a row is hard to enjoy. Croissants or scones in rotation would be nice. As you can see, if this is my only complaint, it tells you a bit about the quality of this resort.
Fabulous place: elegant, peaceful, clean, comfortable. Great service and tasty and abundant breakfast quiche, muffins baked in house, etc. Lets not forget about very good heated pool. People working there really care about their guests and trying hard to make your stay as pleasant as possible. You can feel it in every detail. Highly recommend for even short getaways any season. Would love to come back for a retreat. Thank you, owners and stuff!
